The book price I set is $24.99 because I’ve been disabled for 24 years. I only make a fraction of that as the royalty.
The book is self-published by a method called print-on-demand. The advantage of this is that the book doesn’t exist on a shelf in storage, and books that stay in storage too long will be sent back to the publisher at their expense, which is me. Currently the book is not physically in stores, so the book doesn’t exist until someone clicks to order it. Ingramspark is the publisher responsible for printing it which then moves it to their network of 40,000 distributors.
Unfortunately, I was not able to additionally use Amazon KDP or Barnes and Noble Press as main other self published authors do. The reason is that their printers do not allow a Duplex cover to show a photo collage (inside cover) and the Headache chart in the Gallery (backside cover).
However, the book is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble online.
The book currently does not currently exist in Digital format. I still deal with daily headaches making my work slow, but it will likely exist on a digital platform at some point in the future.
